Get Fit and Stay Strong in Seniors Week 2009 at Parramatta RSL

Parramatta Older people are being welcomed to attend a range of FREE activities at proudly delivered by C2K Fitness & Aquatic Centre at Parramatta RSL during Seniors Week 16th-20th March 2009.

C2K, proudly owned and operated by Castle Hill RSL Group is encouraging encourage older residents to look after their health and be healthy and active as they age.

Castle Hill RSL President and Chairman Warren Glenny said: “As we age, keeping fit, strong and healthy becomes vital for maintaining quality of life. The Seniors Week programs aim to show older people just how important it is to look after their health and wellbeing & showcases the huge range of activities available to Seniors”.

C2K has been extremely successful in assisting many older local residents to achieve improved quality of life & encourages a fun social atmosphere which openly welcomes those new to exercise.

11:00am – 12noon FREE Live Long Stay Strong Strength Circuit Class - An excellent beginners class focussing on the importance of Resistance Training to improve strength, bone mineral density, reduce the risk of osteoporosis, improve flexibility &endurance. Suitable for all fitness levels.

12noon to 1pm FREE Seminar 'The benefits of Exercise for Older Adults' - This Educational seminar provides an overview on how important exercise is in maintaining health & well being throughout your adulthood. It outlines the benefits & disease risk factors that can be avoided by following a simple exercise program.
