Celebrate Australia Day at Parramatta RSL and help support the Royal Institute for Deaf and Blind Children
Parramatta will once again become the perfect playground for thousands of patriotic and passionate Aussies to celebrate Australia Day on January 26th. As part of the festivities all proceeds from the day will go to the Royal Institute for Deaf and Blind Children.

Parramatta RSL will be running an Australian Day Fun Festivities in the carpark from 10:00am to 2pm to fundraise for this very worthwhile cause. The event will include loads of fun filled activities for the little ones, mums and dads and even grandma and grandpa.

On the day why not come down and have an Aussie sausage sizzle or cool down with a snow cone. The Kids will love bouncing on the jumping castles, going ‘Aussie’ with face painting and the pony rides.

Don't forget to also check out all the stalls on the day! Gold coin donations will be collected throughout the festivities to support the Royal Institute for Deaf and Blind Children.

In the lead up and on the day Parramatta RSL is also running a Mega Fundraising Raffle with amazing prizes to assist with the fundraising effort. Tickets are available from Parramatta RSL so why not come done and support this very worthy cause.
Warren Glenny, President and Chairman of Parramatta RSL said “Parramatta RSL is very proud to support the Royal Institute for Deaf and Blind Children with the Australia Day fundraising festivities in the carpark. It is wonderful to be able to celebrate this patriotic day whilst supporting such a worthy cause.”
RIDBC provides a wide range of quality and innovative services and educational programs to thousands of children across Australia living with hearing or vision loss, including services for children with additional disabilities.
Chris Rehn, Chief Executive Royal Institute for Deaf and Blind Children said, “By combining early diagnosis, quality intervention, a dedicated family, and access to technology, children with vision or hearing loss have the opportunity to reach their full potential. This means access to mainstream schools, tertiary education and employment options in the future. ”
RIDBC is motivated by:
• A recognition that all children, irrespective of disability, deserve to receive the education, training and services they need to get the best possible start in life.

• A family-centred approach that ensures parents remain the key to their child’s early intervention. RIDBC supports parents in learning how to best support their child.

• Providing access to quality early intervention for all Australian children living with hearing or vision loss, no matter how remote. Using in-home videoconferencing technology RIDBC Teleschool works with children and their families all across Australia.

• Providing quality, continuing professional development for teachers, therapists and associated professionals, based on current, evidence-based practice. RIDBC Renwick Centre is Australia’s leading provider of professional development and research in the field of sensory impairment.

RIDBC relies heavily on fundraising and community support to be able to continue to make a difference in children's lives.  In order to maintain its intensive educational and research programs, the organisation needs to raise approximately $2.5 million every month
